BA (Hons) PGCE Music
About me
I have been teaching music in UK schools for over 20 years.
Music has always been an important part of my life - my grandma was a piano player and my dad was a church organist. At university, studying music (piano and flute), I met my husband, who is also a musician and plays saxophone. As you can imagine, our house is rarely quiet, especially now our youngest daughter has also discovered a love of music and is always busy playing piano, flute, guitar or ukelele!
I am passionate about the benefits of learning to play a musical instrument and I love teaching! I have seen so many children fluorish by playing music and creating their own music. It has been so rewarding to see some of my former students go on to have musical careers of their own, including playing professionally and also teaching.
